Rescuing a dog from an orphanage might be one of the best decisions you’ve ever made. Not just to have a funny and charming companion, but to have a true friend for life. The woman in the video below felt how incredibly grateful a dog can be. Kayla Filoon is a student and likes volunteering at a local animal shelter.
That’s how she first met Russ, a young dog who had some health problems. The two immediately hit it off, and soon after, the woman decided they were meant to be best buddies. Forever!
“He came in as a stray, and he was really beaten up,” the young woman told The Dodo. “He was missing fur on his tail and ears. He was also very skinny. He was just sitting there calmly, staring at me… And I thought… I need to take him now.”
So she took Russ to her place and the dog got the chance to taste what being at home feels like. To show his new owner just how much he appreciates her giving him a forever home and showering with love, the dog won’t stop cuddling with her.
“One night I’m sitting there on the chair, doing my homework, and he’s trying to find ways to cuddle with me,” she said. “He’s such a love bug, honestly.”
