A plane carrying the Nelon family, a well-known and much-loved gospel group in the United States, crashed, killing everyone on board.
Seven people died in the horrific crash, including Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler and two other Grammy-nominated members of the family.
Also killed were Amber’s husband Nathan Kistler, Melodi Hodges, who worked for the family, and pilot Larry Haynie and his wife Melissa.
Autumn Nelon Streetman, from the fourth season of The Nelon, was not on the plane at the time.
On Friday, the band members were heading to Alaska to take part in the Gaither Homecoming Cruise. But their plane crashed over Wyoming, sparking a massive wildfire on touchdown.
In a statement about the tragedy, Autumn Nelon Streetman said: ‘As many of you already know, my parents, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister Amber, my brother-in-law Nathan and our dear friends Melodi Hodges, Larry and Melissa Haynie, were the victims of a terrible plane crash on Friday.
For the prayers that have already been said for me, for my husband Jamie, for our future son and for Jason’s parents Dan and Linda Clark, thank you.
