In 1983, when 24-year-old Patricia Clarke became pregnant, she had more than a hunch that her baby would be big.
She knew there were large families in her family, having already given birth to one. However, the size of the baby she was expecting was totally unexpected.
Kevin Robert Clark was born to Patricia and weighed over 16 pounds, a huge baby. He was the largest baby born at Community Memorial Hospital and possibly in all of New Jersey at the time.
His parents were relieved to see that Kevin was perfectly healthy, even though he didn’t fit in a standard-sized cot and his baby clothes were too small. Unsurprisingly, his stature was immediately apparent. His national fame skyrocketed after he appeared on ‘Saturday Night Live’ and ‘Good Morning America,’ among other shows.
Start by setting a good example.
Unfortunately, Kevin wasn’t done taking centre stage. According to the New York Post, at the age of 12 he was 5’7’.
By the time he entered high school, he was 5’10’. Then he kept growing. He kept developing.
‘Not a day goes by that someone doesn’t ask me how tall I am,’ Kevin told the Post.
