The find was in good condition, but required some modifications, such as replacing staples, handles and updating the table top.
After several months of preparation and gathering the necessary materials, the girl got to work.
She went through an extensive restoration process including cleaning, stripping the old finish, sanding, gluing parts together, restoring the mouldings, and painting. Decorative elements were also added to the top drawers.
The author used cleaning products to restore the wood to a fresh and bright appearance. Wood pulp was used to restore the missing staples, and new veneer was purchased to replace the damaged table top.
Special care was taken to coat the dresser in oil, giving it an elegant look. 
Finally, after the main work was completed, the girl refinished the inner drawers, nailed the staples and attached the handles.
As a result of a lot of work, the old oak chest of drawers was transformed into a stylish and refined element of the interior.
