Do you know what this tool is?

The whole Internet has collaborated to find out what this kitchen utensil is.The whisk with rotating parts was patented in 1856 by Ralph Collier, a tinsmith from Baltimore (Maryland). It was followed by E.P. Griffith’s whisk, patented in England in 1857. Another hand-operated rotary egg beater was patented by J.F. and E.P. Monroe in the United States in 1859.The term “Dover whisk” was in common use in February 1929, as shown in this recipe from the Cedar Rapids, IA Gazette newspaper for “Hur-Mon Bavarian Cream”, a whipped dessert recipe based on gelatin, whipped cream, banana and ginger. In 1908, Herbert Johnston, an engineer at the Hobart Manufacturing Company, invented an electric stand mixer. Inspired by the observation of a baker mixing bread dough with a metal spoon, he quickly devised a mechanical equivalent.By 1915, his 80-litre mixer was standard equipment in most large bakeries. In 1919, Hobart launched the Kitchen Aid Food Preparer for domestic use.
