Former Charmed and Beverly Hills 90210 star Shannen Doherty has died. She was 53.
Leslie Sloane, Doherty’s longtime publicist, confirmed the news in a statement.
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty. On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years battling the disease.” 
Doherty revealed last year that her disease had progressed to her brain. In a tearful video posted on Instagram on June 7, the actress made the big revelation. The footage, recorded on 12 January 2023, showed Doherty undergoing radiotherapy.
“On January 5, my CT scan revealed Mets in my brain,” she wrote. “On January 12, the first round of radiation took place.”
“My fear is obvious. I am extremely claustrophobic and a lot has happened in my life. I am fortunate to have excellent doctors like Dr. Amin Mirahdi and extraordinary technicians at Cedar Sinai. But this fear…. The confusion….. at the time when it all happened…. This is what cancer can be like.
After battling cancer for years, Doherty passed away on 13 July.
