Black couple recounts their journey to adopt three white children

Sadie and Jarvis Sampson tried for years to conceive – they tried everything until they resigned themselves to thinking they would just be uncles, until they received a text that changed their lives overnight.The couple had been trying to conceive since their wedding in January 2018, but since it wasn’t happening naturally, they tried everything.
“Ovulation tests, prenatal vitamins, cycle tracking apps, fertility monitors,” Houston’s mum told Love What Matters.“We even tried unsolicited advice from friends, family and strangers and didn’t try. For 14 months we tried, we prayed and hoped. Month after month. Negative pregnancy test after negative pregnancy test. It looked like we were going to need help conceiving. We even went so far as to talk it over with doctors. The adoption puzzleAs you all know, a fortnight ago we received a call about our little one….
Just when the couple had decided to abandon their heartbreaking attempts to conceive a child, Sadie received a message from her friend asking if she would consider fostering a baby that a couple she knew were planning to give birth to.
