Anderson Cooper became a father when he was almost 60 years old and had already broken up with his long-term boyfriend Benjamin Maisani. However, the two exes got back together, but not romantically.
Anderson Cooper and Benjamin Maisani were so secretive about their relationship that it was years before anyone found out they were dating. The couple started dating in 2009.
In March 2018, Daily Mail reported that the couple were living together in Anderson’s firehouse. The Manhattan home in Greenwich Village, which he bought for $4 million, was later renovated.
Anderson and Benjamin did not reveal their relationship until May 2015. At the time, the CNN anchor shared an Instagram image of him and Benjamin and wrote:
“I guess when you’ve been with someone for a long time, you start posing the same way.”
Following this, Anderson began to open up more about their relationship. So much so that, in August 2016, he and his boyfriend appeared together for an issue of Architectural Digest.
At the time, the couple showed off the secluded home they owned together in a region of Brazil.
It also explained why they had spent so long trying to keep their relationship private.
