Gordon Ramsay has revealed he is “battered” after a terrible accident and has a very important message to share with his audience.
Celebrities and well-wishers, including his daughter Holly, flooded the comments section with messages wishing him a speedy recovery.
The 57-year-old Michelin-starred chef recounted on Instagram the terrible bicycle accident he suffered in Connecticut. 
In sharing his experience, he also highlighted the crucial role his helmet played in saving his life.
In the video, Ramsay pulls up his chef’s overalls to show that more than half of his torso is covered in purple bruises. In the before and after photos, he shows how damaged his helmet and cycling jersey have become.
“It really shook me up and obviously I’m lucky to be here,” the reality star said, adding, “You have to wear a helmet.
It doesn’t matter how short the ride is. I don’t care that helmets cost money. They are essential. Even kids, on a short ride, have to wear helmets.”
