Video: This veteran who can’t pay for his purchase turns around when he hears a customer say, “It’s our turn.”

We can all go through difficult times in life. Needless to say, when we do, we deserve the love and support of those around us to help us get through. As fate would have it, however, he crossed paths with a surprise Fox 5 brigade at a Las Vegas grocery store to pay for people’s groceries.
Despite his financial difficulties, Larry had brought his friend Stephanie, a disabled veteran, to the store. Stephanie explained to the Fox 5 reporter that she was buying food for herself and her dogs, although she admitted she only had $50 left and didn’t know what she would do next.Dave Hall, the reporter who runs the Surprise Brigade, was happy to tell her that he and his team were in charge of grocery shopping for her and Stephanie was delighted to receive this generous offer.Dave then noticed Larry, who stood silently behind Stephanie. It turns out that Larry, a friend of Stephanie’s husband, had started the Bones for Blankets club several years earlier. The purpose of the club? So Larry was able to go through the store and pick out what he wanted. His total came to $278, and Larry wiped away tears after Dave and the others paid the bill.
“I’ve been taking care of myself since I was 13,” Larry said.
