Unequal marriages are not rare, and while the usual case is often that of a younger woman marrying an older, wealthy man, there are notable exceptions. 
The relationship of Susan and Peter breaks this mold. Peter, a young and attractive man with a bright future, finds himself captivated by Susan, an older woman, divorced, and with two older children. Despite their differences, the couple remains happily married with no plans of separation.
Their journey began when Peter met Susan at the age of 16. Susan, a Spanish teacher and an acquaintance of Peter’s mother, had a modest appearance and average income, lacking the striking beauty or immense wealth often associated with such stories. Nevertheless, Peter was drawn to Susan and soon developed strong feelings for her. However, he was reluctant to express his love due to the significant 33-year age difference between them.
Determined, Peter enrolls in Spanish courses to stay close to Susan, who is unaware of his true intentions. Despite his scant interest in the language, his main goal was to be near her. At the age of 18, Peter dares to confess his love to her. Although Susan was surprised, she did not reject his feelings. She asked for time to reflect on their relationship, concerned about possible reactions from her family and society’s judgments.
