As it turned out later, the fall from the balcony was not the result of a suicide attempt at all, but the result of an unusual way to blackmail his wife, with whom they were at that moment heatedly arguing.
As a result, when the unlucky blackmailer attempted to return to the apartment, he stumbled and fell. He held on to the balcony ledge for a while, but was unable to climb up and slipped. But that was enough time for his heroic downstairs neighbor to save his life!
