While King Charles undergoes weekly cancer treatment in London, his son, Prince William, has taken on the responsibility of carrying out royal duties on behalf of his father and the crown.
In addition to his royal duties, William supports his wife, who is currently recovering from scheduled abdominal surgery, and cares for their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
William recently attended a fundraiser for the London Air Ambulance. He expressed his gratitude for the messages of support for Catherine and her father: 
Among the attendees was actor Tom Cruise, whom the Prince jokingly advised not to “borrow” one of the helicopters.
Commenting on the importance of the event, William said, “It’s fair to say that the last few weeks have been all about medicine. So I decided to take part in an air ambulance event to get away from it all.”
“Here in London, the current aircraft have provided magnificent service. But our capital city needs a new fleet. And time is running out. The key is in the name of the appeal. By September, we need the two new red birds – fitted with the latest equipment, such as night vision – in our skies.
