How did young people dress and what was their style in the 1970s? It’s no secret that fashion often revisits looks from the past, simply modernizing them a bit. The world’s most famous designers proudly proclaim when presenting their collections: “The ’70s, ’80s, or ’90s are in fashion today.” 
But what did young people wear in the 1970s, and would modern youth be willing to adopt them? Straight short dresses. There was a wide variety of models of this type of garment for women, all reminiscent of those seen on black and white television screens. Many girls didn’t have the means to buy dresses, so they either made them themselves or had them tailored by a known seamstress. Flared pants. This unusual pant cut conquered not only the minds of women but also those of men.
However, pants were just beginning to emerge in women’s fashion, and only the boldest beauties dared to wear them. Every young woman of that time always had a small black box at hand with the inscription: “Eyebrow and eyelash mascara”, quickly nicknamed “the spit”. 
The trick was that this mascara had to be moistened before use according to the instructions. But water wasn’t always available, so if you spat in the coveted box and applied it with a brush, you could easily make up your lashes and eyebrows. In homage to the Beatles, guys bought flashy shirts with disproportionate collars, which they paired with their favorite flared pants.
