Photoshop: 82-year-old Martha Stewart is being attacked online after people noticed a detail in her new photo

When one thinks of powerful and successful women, one of the names that comes to mind is Martha Stewart. In addition to being a well-known television personality, she’s also a self-made billionaire, writer, entrepreneur, and former model. At 82, this incredible woman continues to live her life to the fullest. Last year, she posed for the cover of Sports Illustrated wearing daring swimsuits and caught the attention of many. She was praised for her bravery, her incredible figure, and the positivity she exudes. However, during her recent trip along the east coast of Greenland, she posted photos and one of them infuriated her followers. She’s seen enjoying a cocktail, and the caption reads: “End of the first zodiac cruise by @swanhelleniccruises in a beautiful fjord on the east coast of Greenland. Indeed, we captured a small iceberg for our cocktails tonight.” It probably wasn’t her intention to anger her followers with the phrase “small iceberg” for her drink, but that sparked the ire of her followers. Soon enough, comments started pouring in under her post, with people criticizing the fact that she mentioned a small iceberg when “the polar ice caps are melting.” “Martha, the polar ice caps are melting, don’t put them in your drink,” wrote an Instagram user. Another added: “Usually, I love Martha and the extravagance of her life because it’s about beautiful gardens, but wealthy white people drinking their cocktails with icebergs while the planet burns is a bit disconnected from reality.” “While the climate warms due to the gains of a few, billionaires go on vacations to melting icebergs, capture them, and use them to keep their cocktails cold. This seems straight out of a dystopian novel. You can’t make this up lol,” joked a third. “Climate change and melting polar ice caps, but we need glacier ice for cocktails?! Talk about disconnect. I’ve been a fan for years, but I’ve seen enough caviar lately while I struggle to buy basic groceries, so I’m out,” declared a fourth. Speaking about the Sports Illustrated cover she posed for, she said on the Today show: “I didn’t starve, but I didn’t eat bread or pasta for a few months. I did Pilates every other day, and it was great; I still do Pilates every other day because it’s great. And I lead a healthy life: good eating, good physical exercise, healthy skincare, and everything else.” She also commented on fans’ reaction to the “authentic” cover during her opening speech at the Las Vegas event.
