One boy decided to share a very shocking story with the world so that others wouldn’t make the same mistake he did. His mother was in a nursing home when he left her, and his last request was for his son to improve the situation, which was appalling. 
“After my father died, I thought taking my mother to a nursing home was the best thing to do. I fully admit that I was self-centered because I didn’t want my life to depend on her, and I regret very much that I didn’t think about her life or her comfort for even a moment. I asked her what else I could do to help her feel a little better, as her gaze grew smaller and smaller and I felt a tear roll down my spine.
I felt the ground shift beneath my feet as I listened to her words, and couldn’t understand why she was telling me this now, rather than when I could have done something for her. I also received an answer that radically transformed my life.
