Shannen Doherty is undeniably a brave woman. After her cancer returned in 2020, she pledged to share her experience with the treatment she had to endure. It’s an unpleasant process, to say the least.
A process that takes a massive toll on the body. She wanted people to understand it in more recognizable terms because there’s so much fear surrounding it. Rightly so, in many cases. Fortunately for Shannen, she emerged on the other side, shining as brightly as the star she is and always will be. For many people, the prospect of cancer is terrifying. A diagnosis they fear receiving makes them imagine the worst possible scenario. For others, it’s a reality they live with.
Very few people truly understand what it is, unless they’ve had a loved one go through cancer treatment. Thanks to Shannen Doherty and her bravery in sharing such a raw and honest insight into her experience with cancer, more people can understand the exhausting process that treatments put you through. Followers and non-followers alike are invited to join Shannen Doherty’s cancer treatment journey. On her Instagram page, she posted a message announcing the first cycle of radiotherapy. 
Her journey had finally begun. However, she first showed the process of making a mask for the CT scans she would use during brain radiotherapy. “January 12, 2023. On January 5, my CT scan showed metastases in my brain. Yesterday’s video showed the process of making the mask you will wear during your brain radiotherapy,” she wrote as the caption for the post.
