Beloved by millions, Canadian singer Michael Bublé rose to worldwide fame in 2005 with his album “It’s Time” and his 2007 album “Call Me Irresponsible,” which topped album charts in Canada, the UK, the Billboard 200 in the US, and elsewhere.
Over the years, the Grammy winner has sold over 75 million records worldwide, yet despite his immense fame, he has remained humble. Michael is married to Argentine actress Luisana Lopilato, with whom he has four children. The couple’s son, Noah, who will turn 9 this year, underwent a trial when he was diagnosed with liver cancer at the tender age of just 3. When the singer learned of the devastating news, he was promoting his ninth studio album, “Nobody But Me,” just before appearing on BBC One’s The One Show in London.
“Three minutes before going on stage, my wife sent me a text to tell me that something wasn’t right,” he said in an interview with the British newspaper Evening Standard in July 2018, adding, “I felt shattered.” Fortunately, Noah is now in remission, but Bublé described the experience as “the worst imaginable thing to hear as a parent, and maybe as a human being.”
“I would rather it was me. Many times, I wish it was me,” said the musician, adding that the experience has made them even stronger as a family and has given them a new perspective on life. For Noah’s eighth birthday, Bublé shared an emotional message on Instagram, writing, “Today, my hero turns 8. I have never met anyone so brave… I have never met anyone so kind or so good-hearted… and I will never truly be able to express how proud I am, or how deep and deep Mom’s love and mine for you is. You have blessed our lives in every way.”
