Heaters can reach temperatures up to 600 degrees Fahrenheit, so it’s essential that anyone using them do so safely. Here are some tips:
Never plug the appliance into a power strip, but always plug directly into a wall-mounted appliance.
Always keep a space of at least one metre around the space heater.
Always keep an eye on the heater while it is in use, never turn it on while you are asleep or in another room.
Place heaters on flat, level surfaces.
Never place heaters on cabinets, tables, furniture or rugs.
