The stars of the hit American reality show “1,000 Pound Sisters,” which follows two girls with life-threatening obesity, are sisters Tammy and Emmy Slayton. They are now 34 and 35 years old respectively. They agreed to broadcast their daily lives to millions of people until a few years ago in hopes of losing weight and starting to live life to the fullest.
The sisters battled their addictions and themselves for three seasons. Amy was the most successful sister; she is progressing in her weight loss and is considering surgery. Amy weighed about 185 kg at the time of filming (of which she has already lost about 50), and Tammy about 275 kg. Unlike her sister, Tammy has gained weight and is now approaching 150 kg.
Tammy met Caleb Willingham, her fiancé, at the rehab center. The only relationship she has been involved in that was not based on online dating began with that encounter. They had already arranged a wedding at the hospital where they met and the man proposed to her there.
