A young groom caused a stir on social media when he showed up to his wedding in jeans and a T-shirt.
In a video on TikTok, Violet Price, 16, showed her “best friend” Catherine Nicholson marrying her casually dressed husband.
More than 1.5 million people have watched the video online, and many of them don’t like how casually the groom is dressed, according to YorkshireLive.
He dressed for the event in a black T-shirt from streetwear brand Palm Angels, wearing it with washed-out gray pants and sneakers.
Kate, the bride, wore a more classic dress. She wore a white mermaid-style wedding dress with a lace train and cinched waist.
The video featured two teenagers having fun on a carnival ride. Violet accompanied the video with the comment, “My best friend a couple of months ago telling me she’s not going to fall in love.”
Another person joked, “Wedding at 5. Wetherspoons with the boys at 6.”
“I would have done a U-turn as soon as I saw him,” said a third person who also commented on how pretty Catherine looked.
“This is probably indicative of the amount of effort she will put into the marriage,” commented one person.
