There are few actors as iconic as Chuck Norris, at least when it comes to stunts, martial arts, and truly badass movies.
Over the years, the 82-year-old Oklahoma native has starred in about forty films, and it wasn’t long after the start of his acting career that he experienced the big breakthrough.
Chuck had two long marriages; the second one is still going strong today. Moreover, he is a loving father of five children. Recently, however, he shared rather troubling news about his wife’s health. Let’s take a closer look at Chuck Norris’s career and life.
Chuck Norris was born on March 10, 1940, in Ryan, Oklahoma. The eldest of three boys, describing himself as a child, he said he was “the shy kid who never excelled in anything at school.” He gave up his film career to take care of his sick wife. Since then, Gena has needed care, and her husband has always been there. In fact, he gave up everything else to take care of his wife full-time. “I gave up my film career to focus on Gena; my entire life right now is about keeping her alive,” Chuck said. “I believe this issue is so important.”
