Following a Facebook appeal for help for injured animals in the Houston area, Samantha Zimmer and her fiancé George discovered two dogs in a ditch. Corey, Matthew’s buddy, sat by his side until assistance arrived six hours after he had been struck by a car and was unable to move.
Matthew was in dire need of assistance, so the pair had to be cautious when taking him up. The two canine buddies were sent to the nonprofit rescue Lola’s Lucky Day to receive the treatment they required. Without one another, where would they be today?
