Sidewalk Specials took Odie away from an uncooperative owner. The poor dog had been starved and chained for seven years, as evidenced by his skeletal frame. It was probably his first proper meal in a very long time, and he gobbled up some kibble as soon as rescuers brought him back to Cape Town and Vet Point for a checkup.
Odie suffered of sinusitis, a tick bite, and nine missing teeth. With so many health problems, why would one want a dog? Who? A family with several dogs, hens, and horses!
Odie is now enjoying the life he was destined to live thanks to all of these new pals and a caring family. And we owe it all to Sidewalk Specials and our friends for supporting them!
