Children and animals always got along very well. It is quite difficult to find better duets than a child and a dog. Nevertheless, I think children should get used to feeling comfortable around any farm animal (and not only) including horses.
Although horses are massive and incredibly strong animals, they can also be extremely playful and friendly, especially foals. Moreover, when there is a small human nearby, the young of the horses become even more cheerful. As proof, this 4-year-old from Iceland and his best four-legged friend share a truly touching connection.
It was love at first sight for Thordur and the foal. The first time, the 4-year-old entered the stable, he just couldn’t hold his excitement upon seeing the little horse. But the feeling was mutual!

However, even though the pair seem to be the greatest of friends and the images and the footage from the bottom speak for themselves, everyone should be aware that a kit should never be around horses (or any other big animal) without a parent (or a grown-up) around.
