It seemed that going to the vet, examinations and painful injections would make Cynthia take offense at people and avoid communication for a while, but it turned out quite differently. At night, the cat climbed into the bed of the owner of the temporary care place and began to lick her hair, singing her cat songs. Perhaps the injections coped with the pain and thus the cat wanted to thank for the relief of her condition.
Cynthia gradually began to get used to the place of temporary care. At times it looks somewhat funny, but more often it causes sadness. The impression is that the baby was taken from the orphanage to the family and she is surprised to get used to a new room, trying to understand the purpose of things that she had never seen before.
At first, Cynthia carefully examined the house for cats, looked closely at the other inhabitants and their games. After a while, she began to approach and touch the scratching post with her paw incredulously, then decided to even sit inside for a few minutes, tested the scratching post. Once she even tried to go to bed in the house, but there was not enough room for her there.
Over time, Cynthia plucked up the courage and climbed to the very top of the house, settled down there, and looked from a height at everything that was happening around. Other residents of the place of temporary care were surprised by this behavior because this is the place most loved by all cats, but they did not chase Cynthia away. Probably, they felt sorry for the girl and gave her time to get used to the new situation.
Cynthia gradually got used to the regime at home and stopped waking up the rest of the residents of the place of temporary care. Perhaps the cat still wakes up first, but now she does not announce the whole house with screams but gives the others a good night’s sleep.
As soon as the heating was turned on, Cynthia began to sometimes settle down to sleep on the battery.
Now the cat asks to let her out on the balcony, usually, she has such a walk in the mornings and evenings. The apartment has a glazed balcony, there are special nets on the windows, so such walks are safe for animals.
Cynthia has found her favorite place in the house: she sits on the windowsill and looks at the street outside the window for a long time. Sometimes a cat looks at the house where she used to live. It seems that she looks for the windows of the apartment, from where she and several other cats were taken after the death of one and hospitalization in the clinic of another owner.
The lights are no longer on in the windows of her former home, but the cat is still trying to see the traces of her past life behind the dark glass…
