There’s nothing more touching than a reunion between mom and her lost baby. And this story about an orangutan mother dating her daughter after a few days apart is causing such strong emotions that it’s spreading to all sorts of animals.
The orangutan mother Clara has shown nothing but love and caring for her precious baby Clarita since the day she was born. She took care of her and feed her from the moment she came into this world. They both live at Nyaru Menteng Orangutan Rescue Center in Borneo, a sanctuary for abandoned orangutans. Unfortunately, one day Clara’s precious baby was taken away. According to reports, an alpha male took Clarita away from its mom.
As if this weren’t heartbreaking enough, it took nearly a week before Clara was reunited with her baby again. But the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation made it possible, in the end. Since a baby orangutan separated from its mom ends up in a rejection most of the time, Clarita was presented to her mom by a nurse. But there were only ungrounded worries as Clara accept her baby instantly.
And when the baby was transferred to her mom, her reaction brought tears to everyone’s eyes. Soon the mother and the baby will finish the rehabilitation process, they will be released back into the wild. The video proves to us that orangutans are so much like humans! Watch their reunion below!
