Stray puppy leads rescuers to its sibling in abandoned building

Is there anything better than helping a needy person who can’t help himself? This is absolutely one of the noblest things we can do.

Employees of the Northeastern Animal Rescue Center in China dedicated their lives to doing just that by volunteering in underserved areas.

The homeless in these places grow up in streets full of rubbish marked by abandoned factories. Since China does not have a national program for stray animals or shelters, volunteers and local groups should fill in the gaps and give these animals a chance.

In a rescue video published by Northeast Animal Rescue on Facebook, a homeless puppy approaches rescue workers and barks, calling for help.

But instead of jumping into the waiting embrace of the savior, the puppy (later named Rocky) follows their example – they do not know yet, but he also does his best to help someone in need.

The group follows a persistent puppy when he climbs several stairs (a feat difficult for a puppy only a few months old!), puzzled by his behavior.

He’s obviously not running away, but he’s still leading the rescue team to a broken-down building nearby.

There, they find out why — he’s got a brother!

The blonde puppy, later named Buddy, was found in the corner, probably too scared or possibly injured. Luckily, Rocky took care of his family.

Both were rescued that day, and given all the love they needed, plus a bath and some milk!

While things are hard for strays in China, at least these two were looking out for each other and got the help they needed.
