The internet is weeping after a Reddit user “abherna3” shared a touching photo of his cat, Little Andrew, on the way to the vet’s office for the last time. As you can see in the photo, the Russian blue cat is holding his owners’ hands, and this shows us how strong the bond between a pet and an owner can be.
The owner Bernhard posted the photo on Reddit and added a caption: “Little Andrew was my junior. He was 15 and a half and loved every one, but just got old and sick over the last year. He purred every day of his life and when he lost that, I knew it was time… He held our hands on his last trip to the vet. Little Andrew was much stronger than his mom and I.”
The cat had been by Bernhard’s side for fifteen and a half years, so we all can understand how sad he was when Andrew crossed the rainbow bridge. “He was a great guy. He was always happy to see everybody, always won fights with the dog, and just wanted you around all the time. He just finally got too weak to keep up,” Bernhard said.
When Bernhard posted the photo to Reddit, he got a lot of love, condolences, and support from other internet users about the loss of his pet.

Best friends forever!
Despite Andrew’s passing, Bernhard is happy that the memory of Andrew will live on. “I’m just so happy his story has continued. He brought such happiness to me and I hope he continues to make others feel good about their own pets,” he stated.
We would like to give our deepest condolences to Bernhard. Rest in peace little Andrew!
