A girl named Shauna Darcy is suffering from panic attacks. She needed a service dog, so she soon had a charming pet named Ruby.
The dog turned out to be incredibly smart and immediately realized the kind of help her new mom needed.
It soon became clear that the dog would do anything to help the girl!
While Pitbull Ruby was training to become a great service dog for Shauna, she began to notice that her pet was strangely reacting to changes in her heart rate.
The baby came up to Shauna and gently touched her with her paw.
She did not ignore the dog’s behavior, so she went to a doctor who also identified health problems she had not previously known.
Turns out Shauna had a rare heart disease…
But Ruby found out there was something wrong with the owner before the girl was seen!
The attention of the service dog immediately shifted to the girl’s health.
Now the pet monitors the heart rate and blood pressure of the owner daily.
In addition, Ruby helps her during panic attacks and even brings her medicine when necessary.
A dog can carry food, pick up a falling object and comfort a girl.
Ruby owns what’s called deep pressure therapy.
When Shauna loses consciousness, the dog immediately runs up to her and lies down or sits down on top of her, affecting the girl with her weight and licking her hands and face.
Thus, it is possible to equalize the pressure and help her to wake up!
Shauna felt great last week, but Ruby was worried. Used to trusting her dog, the girl immediately called an ambulance.
And she did it just in time because she was going into atrial fibrillation!
By the time the doctors arrived, she was already in pain and a semi-unconscious state. If it wasn’t for Ruby, the medics would never have gotten here on time!
Even when Shauna was in the hospital, the dog refused to leave the girl.
Ruby lay next to the girl in the hospital bed, hoping that her human mother would feel warm and realize that she was not alone.
Shauna is infinitely grateful for the care of her dog. “Without her, I would not have survived!” says the girl.
