In the town of Reli in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, a dog was seen with a baby monkey sitting on its back. The police spotted the animals, and the dog was heading towards them.
It was convinced that the child needed the help that people could provide.
A broken collar was found around the dog’s neck. So the police concluded that the monkey lived with people. Then something happened that separated the baby from its owners.
Perhaps the monkey was stolen by the intruders or escaped during a walk. No one knew for sure what had happened. A smart dog found a baby by the river.
The monkey was all alone, people didn’t try to help it. The dog couldn’t pass by. The animal put the baby on its back and headed to a place where the monkey would be safe. The dog was headed to the police station.
The police treated the monkey with bananas, which she happily ate. The baby was taken to an organization that specializes in helping animals. The monkey will stay there until its previous or new owners are found.
Thanks to this wonderful dog, a monkey got saved. We should remember this thing: each life matters.
