A group of cheetahs crosses a flooded river: two photographers took the most exciting pictures in history

One day something incredible happened. When some people were exploring the Maasai Mara National Reserve in Kenya, they saw a group of cheetahs.

There was a river and they wanted to cross it. The cheetahs didn’t care that the river was overflowing.

Photographers Arnfinn Johansen and Buddhilini De Sosa immediately took some exciting pictures.

Johansen noticed that it was very difficult for a cheetah to cross the river.

“They hunt on both sides of the Talek River, (so it’s not surprising) that they wanted to cross it. Usually, they crossed the river on rocks, but this year it had been raining for a long time, and because of the flooding it was very difficult for them to do it,” Johansen told Bored Panda.

He also added that it was all very dangerous.

“They walked along the river for quite a long time in search of a place where they could cross to the other side. Because of the strong current, it was really dangerous. In addition, the Nile crocodile lives in this river, for which the cheetah can become easy prey.”

Johansen said they were very lucky to get to the other side alive.
