This is real human heroism. For twenty-two years, every day, without any days off or absences for any circumstances, this man brings food to homeless animals that live in the quarter. A caring seventy-six-year-old man is named Willie Ortiz.
Willie collects scrap metal, that’s his job But he also provides stray cats with food. According to conservative estimates, seven dozen street animals remain fed daily!
Willie and his family live in Connecticut, and he believes that his concern for his tail-tailed friends is the right thing to do. And he is not greedy, does not spare money and his resources, the main thing for him is to save cat lives.
It started back in 1995, and Ortiz even remembers that day. Then he saw a hungry little kitten, but no one was paying attention to its pleas. When another passer-by simply pushed the poor animal off with his foot to move on, Willie realized that he could not leave the baby. Since then, he has helped suffering animals daily.
Friends of the scrap metal collector confirm that the man takes care of cats every day, without arranging holidays or breaks for himself. There are now about seventy individuals on his balance sheet. And everyone certainly gets food.
Of course, any good deed does not remain without outside criticism. There were also those, who consider Willie a spender. They believe that homeless cats do not need so much care and daily nutrition.
But Ortiz reasonably asks – how often does a person eat? At least three times a day, why then should animals not eat regularly?
The man is extremely determined – as long as he is alive and capable of action, the cats will be fed. The iron opinion of a good person!
