Meet an Alaskan malamute named Odin, who had a difficult past. He was found in a terrible condition. Instead of a thick black-and-white coat, he had practically no fur.
Odin had infected skin, which was covered with wounds, and that’s why he smelled bad. He was so thin, apparently. Odin had broken teeth. The poor creature looked so miserable.
But fortunately, one day his life has changed when he was rescued by the workers of the Southern Pines Animal Shelter. Odin was found with several dogs chained up. He needed urgent help, treatment, a caring family, and home.
Sidney Shelkopf became his adoptive mother. When Odin arrived at her house, he looked frightened and confused. Apparently, he has never been inside a house.
For weeks, he used to lay in the same spot and didn’t want to play with some toys, he was not like the other normal dogs.
But in two days he began to trust Sidney and the second day, he dared to climb onto Sidney’s bed, throwing his bony body next to her and looking at her with his sad eyes.
Odin felt eventually at home.
It took several months until Odin turned into a beautiful dog with an adorable look. His transformation was so incredible.
He looked healthy, his skin was fluffy. He needed only to undergo surgery on his broken teeth.
Sidney helped the dog to be healthy and loved.
