It is very painful to hear about any cruelty towards animals. There is no need to behave cruelly towards these defenseless creatures who deserve the care and love of people.
Fortunately, there are still kind people and organizations ready to protect these helpless animals.

It was an international organization of animal defenders that organized the rescue of a 20-year-old circus mountain lion chained up, named Mufasa. It’s so terrible to live almost all your life in chains. Poor, helpless Mufasa lived chained to the back of a truck for more than 20 years, being a wandering circus lion. In fact, he was the last animal in captivity, since wild animals in circuses are prohibited in Peru.

Thanks to ADI, who tracked down all the animals being in captivity, Mufasa also was eventually set free.
Since the mountain lion had to spend his entire life in a cage, he could not survive in the wild, so the group decided to release Mufasa into the forest, where an aviary was built for him.
There the lion could live in peace and freedom, as a natural habitat. The staff took care of him.

Unfortunately, the hard life in the circus greatly damaged the lion’s health, he had some health problems, as well as age-related problems that shortened the life of this charming animal.
Mufasa died a few months after his release. But he was able to enjoy the last part of his life in nature.
