Bali is famous not only for its picturesque views and wonderful holidays but also for large numbers of stray dogs. One of these was met by a caring Aaron, who decided to help the animal. Aaron was driving along the road one day and noticed a stray dog near the curb near the tire sales center. He looked very weak, scared, sick, dehydrated, and hungry. In addition, the dog was in danger, because cars that could be hit were constantly rushing past.
The dog seemed wounded. The man also noticed skin problems: the dog was almost bald. But on closer inspection, it turned out that the skin was literally covered with ulcers that were about to open. This is not a sight for the faint of heart.
Aaron turned to the employees of the tire store for help: the guys together managed to drive the dog away from a dangerous place so that he was in a more protected area. The dog did not let people near him, clearly did not trust them. The caring man tried to approach and was even lured with food. After a while, hunger overcame the stray dog, and he ate the suggested food.
Aaron was upset that there were probably a lot of people passing by the dog, and none of them paid attention to what was happening, did not want to help. But the man realized that he definitely can’t leave the animal in trouble. But Aaron couldn’t catch him on his own, so he turned to a local shelter for help and asked his staff to deliver the dog to the clinic.
Finally, the dog was taken to a veterinary point, where he began to receive immediate medical care. It turned out that in addition to dehydration and exhaustion, there was cancer. The veterinarians started a course of chemotherapy.
The dog was named Homer, and he did not let anyone near him. Aaron did not insist and at first just sat by the cage so that the dog would understand that there are those among people who will not cause pain and evil.
Gradually, Homer began to get used to his new friend, after a couple of days he gave himself a pat, and then even began to playfully wag his tail and show joy.
Within a month, lucky Homer was unrecognizable. He gained weight and began to look much better. Three months later, the treatment gave results: the dog defeated cancer, began to grow fluffy light hair.
And the dog also had an owner and a new home: a friend of Aaron named Nungki wanted to shelter a four-legged friend. Now Homer is happy and enjoys a new life and every day of it.
