Touching footage: the dog pushes the owner’s wheelchair, helping him move

“He is not heavy, he is my owner.” If a dog named Digong could talk, he would probably answer the question of why he is doing this. A married couple in the Philippines saw an unusual picture on the road and recorded a video, from which it is clear that the dog’s devotion has no limits.

A few years ago, Danel Alarcon got into an accident on a moped and severely damaged his spine, after which he lost the ability to walk. This is a problem in all countries, and even more so in the poor Philippines, there is a minimum of infrastructure for people with disabilities. Alarcon spends most of his time in his wheelchair, and there is always a faithful dog, 7-month-old Digong, who believes that he is obliged to help his owner overcome long distances.

Their first impression was “that can’t be!”. A guide dog is understandable, a service dog carrying a bag of food, a therapist dog are also familiar professions. But Digong has taken a new level of responsibility for his man, he understands perfectly well how difficult it is for him to travel long distances and therefore helps with all his might. Shocked by what they saw, the couple insisted on treating Alarcon and Digong to dinner at the “Eat-as-You-Can” restaurant.
